Come join the Product & Technology, Brands, and Corporate Shared Services (PTBC) Controllership team. We provide SOX compliance and risk advisory services to our business partners!
The Director of Risk & Compliance will help lead broader strategy development as well as manage the day-to-day governance activities related to risk, control, and SOX compliance management across the P&T (Product & Technology) Division. This individual will collaborate with functions such as Corporate Audit Services, Information Security, Privacy, Architecture, and Data & AI functions to drive continued progression of our risk and SOX compliance management practices as we support our broader enterprise initiatives.
What you’ll do:
Influence team’s strategic direction and decisions through data-driven insights and subject matter expertise
Lead the creation of scalable frameworks to review processes, risk, controls and SOX compliance posture against leading practices or industry frameworks, and assess capability maturity, identify gaps in design and execution, and communicate issues and recommendations to senior management
Partner with business divisions to develop integrated risk and SOX compliance management mechanisms to proactively identify and develop response strategies for emerging risks and SOX compliance obligations
Communicate, develop, and foster strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and engineers across all levels of the organization specially focused in the Product & Tech teams
Support tactical enterprise activities such as identification, analysis, and quantification of enterprise risks
Review pertinent process and control documentation to support process owners with their responsibility for optimized control design
Lead and develop a high-performing team of subject matter experts to support business partners
Keep current with industry trends and available technologies to understand and support automation and innovation related to risk management, control, and SOX compliance operating models
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent related professional experience
CISA, CPA, CIA, (or similar) certifications preferred
12+ years of progressive experience leading and executing risk management, technical SOX compliance, or advisory and assurance functions, leveraging industry recognized governance and control frameworks such and having proficiency in core requirements and methodologies for SOX internal control programs
Demonstrated proficiency in risk and compliance management frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, and NIST
Ability to engage with multi-functional groups such as Security, Architecture, and Technology teams and all levels of leadership to drive alignment on common initiatives/objectives
5+ years of demonstrated proficiency in leading teams to achieve desired outcomes
Artfully distills complexity - Goes deep, synthesizes, simplifies, then story-tells for audience
Bias for results and decision making necessary to address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and encourage behavior to maximize business benefit
Lover of ambiguity - Thrives and gains energy from navigating our ambiguous and changing environment. Extremely strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Knowledge of travel industry preferred and previous experience with travel technology products and operations strongly desired

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $196,000.00 to $274,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
